About Me

My name is Tannith Wallis. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington, located in Arlington, Tx, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication in December of 2014.

I was born and raised in the DFW area, and currently live in Carrollton, Tx. I would like my job to remain within the metroplex, and am currently not interested in moving out of state for work.

In my free time, I enjoy making art for myself either through drawing, painting, or digital illustration, and learning new styles and skills that I like to draw on when I design. I'm a little geeky, love a good sci-fi, and my significant other and I are gamers with a wide collection of consoles, both old and new. I'm also crafty, and have found a lot of inspiration for packaging solutions from simple homemade crafts.

What's with the tentacles?

I love combining illustration with my design; I'm quirky, I'm geeky, maybe a little bit weird, but I wanted my personal logo to be memorable. I'm not afraid to take an unusual direction, experiment with hand drawn type, and overall I wouldn't want my logo to be anything less than myself.

I love to learn.

I love learning new things, about anything, and I mean anything, even if it's beyond what might normally fall under design. Although I have a basic understanding of HTML and CSS, I would love to learn more. I never had the chance to learn how to code a mobile app, but I'd love to learn how it works. I'm not afraid to try new things, and believe that every new skill makes me a better designer.
